This 2-day clinic will include pom and hip-hop, along with jumps, turns, kick technique, flexibility, conditioning, and acro skills. Dancers will learn combinations that focus on musicality, sharp movements, and performance. Perfect for building confidence and improving technique.
POWER UP is designed for dancers interested in high school and college dance team style training. Dancers will work on building the strength, technique, and performance quality commonly used in today’s dance teams. Training will include pom and hip-hop, along with jumps, turns, kick technique, flexibility, conditioning, and acro skills. Training will also focus on musicality, sharp movements, and performance skills while learning combinations. Perfect for dancers looking to build confidence, improve technique, and experience dance team style training. There are two POWER UP class levels : Ages 10&Under and 11&Over.

Lauryn Garcia is a seasoned dance teacher, coach, adjudicator, and award-winning choreographer with over 15 years of experience in the dance industry. A former member of both the Rutgers University Dance Team (Rookie of the Year, 2010; MVP, 2011) and the UCF Dance Team (MVP, 2008), she also performed professionally as a member of the Orlando Predators Dance Team.
Over the past decade, Lauryn has choreographed for high school and college dance teams throughout the region. She currently teaches, choreographs, and trains dancers in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, pom, hip hop, technique, jumps and turns, and conditioning.
Lauryn is currently the Head Coach and Choreographer for the Indian Hills High School Dance Team, the 2026 DTU Regional Grand Champions and 2025 State Champions. Known for her innovative and dynamic choreography, her work has earned numerous awards and recognition throughout the competitive dance and dance team circuit. She is passionate about inspiring dancers to grow artistically and personally while fostering confidence, discipline, and a love for performance.
Rachel Nyhuis began her dance training at The King Centre at age three and trained there until she was eighteen. She went on to join the Ramapo College Dance Team, continuing to develop her performance skills and athleticism at the collegiate level. Rachel began teaching Acro at sixteen and is now in her 14th year of teaching. She has taught at various competitive dance studios and privately in students’ homes, helping dancers safely progress through advanced skills with a strong technical foundation. Rachel is a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor, bringing a deep understanding of strength development, body mechanics, and injury prevention to her training. She continues to train and work on advanced tricks, believing that growth never stops and that teachers should lead by example. Her teaching style emphasizes clean technique, strength, control, and confident execution. Rachel graduated from Ramapo College with a BA in Psychology.
Jenna Kulacz, a multi-disciplinary artist originally from Westchester, New York, graduated summa cum laude from Elon University with a BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography. As a professional dancer, Jenna has performed with notable companies such as Pilobolus, EMERGE125, Gaspard & Dancers, and Christal Brown’s INSPIRIT as a soloist in Arts Across America: A Live Virtual Performance at the John F. Kennedy Center. She has worked with a variety of New York project-based companies in performances including the Harlem Dance Festival and with AThomasProject at Bryant Park Summer Performing Arts Series. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Jenna danced works by notable choreographers including Yoshito Sakuraba, Gallim Dance, and NW Dance Project. She performed at the Delacorte Theater in the production of 'The Tempest' for "Shakespeare in the Park." Jenna is a company member with EMERGE125, a dance educator and choreographer at Westchester Dance Academy, an assistant for New York City Dance Alliance, and a NASM-Certified Personal Trainer.
